My Kids Love Geocaching

My husband started with the geocaching thing. When he told me about it a couple years ago, I'd never heard about it. I figured it was his sneaky way of buying a fun new gadget when he said it would be 'good for the family.' At first he went and found them and I stayed home. Then he took a couple of the kids with him. They came back and said that I had to try it. So I went once when we were camping with family. There was a geocache nearby and we all went on a hike to find it. When we found it the kids were so excited, they forgot about the hike and how they had been complaining about the heat just moments before. They traded for toys they had brought with them and we all felt like now we knew a little 'secret' about a cache being hidden up that trail. It was a lot of fun and it gets my kids out and active sometimes when they would otherwise sit and play video games.
