Caching on the Rocks
I love Geocaching, but one there's two things about the way its evolved in the last couple years that's bothered me. One is the number of micro caches that have been popping up. Don't get me wrong, I like a good hunt, but micro caches don't seem to be as good as a traditional cache as a reward for looking - plus I've looked for micro caches before for a LONG time that I know were moved because they were small and not as quickly identifiable, or the wind blew them away... etc. Anyay, that's what made this specific cache so great. It was a 50 cal. ammo can, traditional cache, but it was hidden really well - not like some of those drive by caches. I hunted for this one and walked around these rocks a while before I figured out where it was. I also discovered some trails that lead off from this spot and took an extra hike. And the best part was, when I found it, there was more than a roll of paper to sign. It was sweet!
